Driver side power window controller flashing

I own a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. I have read all the forums about the wiring in the door being an issue and have checked the ground and power connections. My pervious Jeep had the wiring issue so I knew where to look.

The master driver side controller flashes and I hear a clicking noise coming from it. Is there a relay inside the controller that might be bad? I tried to reset the BCM by disconnecting the battery overnight but that did not help.

Also there are times when the system believes that the door is open and you insert the key and the chime dings until you start the vehicle even when the driver side door is closed. The interior lights stay on if triggered by the door opening or unlocking with the key fob. Opening the driver side door will sometimes activate the interior lights and other times not. I can still operate the windows when the controller has power, but it will hesitate when the power goes off until it comes back on.

Can't figure this one out and not sure where to look.

TIA.
