Yesterday, my drivers side door latch got stuck in the lock position and I couldn't get the door to shut. So I did some research and got the latch unstuck, and the door still wont shut. The latch isn't catching the bar on the frame that holds the door closed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

i have a 93 jeep and if it is colder then 20 outside all but my drivers front door will do that. if I pull it into a heated shop for a hour they will start to latch again. or the latch itself may be bad and you may need a new one. what year is your jeep?
