Default DISPLAY NOT WORKING? 1996 Grand Cherokee

Hi all – I have just purchased a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I have noticed that the display that indicates what mode you are in – Isn't working – can anybody suggest a reason why. I had a look at the fuse box and couldn't find the relevant fuse.

Any ideas what the problem may be ?

Thanks in advance

The display that shows you if you are in 2wd or 4wd? If so, pull it out there is small bulbs behind it.

actually what i meant to say is the little display panel that shows the car - it doesn't seem to do anything

That just shows you if you are in 2wd or 4wd by lighting the rear tires or all 4 tires with a green light. Nothing to major.

Hi... I know this post is over five years old.... But the display is more than just is it in 2 or 4 wheel drive.

I would like to know if anyone knows how to reset this display, mine is lit up but it the entire display is "blacked out" so to speak with lights. So any enlightenment as to how to fix the issue would be great. Thanks
