Default differential fluid change

im going to change the front and rear diff fluids in my 95 ZJ. i have rear limited slip so i know i need the additive for that. ive heard people say that if you have limited slip you NEED to use synthetic gear oil in that diff. whats the truth behind this? i ask because synth. gear oil in a name brand is about 2x as much as conventional.

You can use conventional 75-90 gear oil, you must use the friction modifier with limited slip diffs though.
