Debating a XJ, ZJ, and a WJ

XJ all the way. Cheap and EZ to build. If you get a stock one and drive it, you'll get 20 mpg. I agree with the above posters on buying the cleanest, nicest XJ you can afford. On another note, call your insurance company and see which one would be more expensive to insure. Just another thought.

okay.... its just idk i really like the looks of a zj with a 4.5 inch lift and 33's... jsut something about em to me... and i see nothing about ppl needing sye and cv driveshafts for 4.5 inches of lift on a zj as i do with ppls xj's

yea cause i dont even have enough money for one haha..... luckily my dad is buying it for me on whatever HE basically decides.... im just telling him cherokee or grand cherokee everyday to keep those 2 fresh in his head. as u might have seen my reliability post he thinks a 4runner is better but i want a jeep cause cheeper and probably more fun

It's your choice obviously, but I got a 96 ZJ 4.0L and it is pretty darn good off-road and on the road. The engine is nearing 199,000 miles, and the mileage is WAY better than on my 3.7L Commander. Very peppy little engine, light on its feet even in 4WD, and I got it for $900.00
