Default Dana 30 Inner seal

Hello all, i have 98 GC dana 30 and blew a front seal , whats the best method to remove and replace the inner seal ?

I assume you mean axle seal, not pinion seal.
Google is your friend. This thread on another board has a description and a good pic.

Only issue is you need to pop out the carrier and then it is easy to do seals on both sides.

ya axle seal , i did some searching , just was curious if anyone had a preferred method to pop it out and back in. i saw some use a big socket, some a broom handle.

Remove the axle shafts first.

Pull the diff cover, drain the diff, remove the bearing caps, remove the carrier.

Take a piece of PVC pipe, insert it down the axle tube, pound the seal out.

Reverse order of operations for re-assembly.
