D44A Gears ?
Hallo.
Where can I buy D44A gears? I only find them for standard D44 axles like the ones in my TJ.
A friend has a 5.9L ZJ and wants to regear to 4.11 because itīs a bit sluggish with the 31s tires.
Thanks !

you can get them here.. http://www.rocky-road.com/grand.html
No there not the same as the standard D44.
See the HD D44 also known as the D44a, runs a D44 ring gear with a D60 pinion. So to make them work together it's a "odd" gear tooth pitch..
The gears sets are also the same as whats used in early Vetts and the first generation Vipers..
The axle really is stronger than given credit for. It's down side is the alloy center section which can crack when wheeled hard in the rocks. And that can be fixed with a truss and diff skid..

And a REALLY nasty habit of spinning the bearings in their races when the heat builds up in them....
