cylinder misfire
My 1999 6 Cyl. Jeep Cherokee is missing on Cyl 2. I have replaced the Plugs, Plug caps and no change. I replaced the coil bar and then it would not start at all. I bought another Coil bar and tried it. It still wouldn't start. I put the old one back on and it started but is still missing. The code is P0302 showing misfire in cly 2. I’ve replaced the fuel injector for #2 and it made no difference. I pulled the spark plug for #2 and it looked like a brand new one out of the box. Does anyone know what’s going on or can guide me?

Pull out all the plugs and do a compression check. The only way to get a correct reading would be to remove the fuel pump relay and all the plugs.
More than likely when you have replaced the ignition parts to a miss firing cylinder and the fuel injector(new?) and the plug is clean with no signs of fuel waste or antifreeze......then you are looking at a broken valve spring if the miss fire only occurs off idle and load. OR a burned valve if the miss fire is constant
