cruise control not working

does the light come on?
the first thing I would check is the vac like that runs from the cruise control module to the vac box under the battery. you need to remove the battery to get to it, actually I think it is built into the battery tray. my ZJ's cruise didnt work when I bought it and the vac line was simply disconnected under the battery.
