Got a ? need to pass inspection but i got a check engine light on becouse my temp gauge is broken and stuck pinned up even as soon as i start my engine it goes right up. Its not over heating just dont work right got it checked out to see if its over heating. All fluids are good check them weekly but wont pass inspection with that on pulled the battery cables to reset memory the light went off then soon later the light goes back on?? anyone know anything else that i can do 1996 GC 5.2 liter

 

It could be bad temp. sensor. That would "trow out" the computer. You my run "rich" and will not pass the inspection (computer think that engine is cold).
