My idea was to have the original stereo left and installing the OEM Cd changer under the back seat, or if the stereo can handle an aftermarket changer. I have seen both 6 and 10 disc changer but they are for car models 1999 and up, i do not know if they can be connected to my stereo. Here in Sweden the market for used Jeep (Chrysler) products is limited. Can you tell me what OEM article number is on the stereo that you have in your closet ???

Regards

I see what ur saying i misunderstood you at first all the numbers i have on the back are

model no p04704383ag

issue 1
date code 1808
supplier 28046
serial no t00am1808a4119

its out of a 99 xj but its the same stereo as pictured and thats all the numbers that are on it as far as a 6 or 10 disk changer goes idk much about them for stock stereos but if you went with an aftermarket stereo i know sony makes a few changers for their xplod headunits so it may be something to check into if you cant find what youre looking for

hope thats helps a bit!

Default ???????

My OEM Stereo radio stopped working (AM/FM). so instead of going to the expense of getting another stereo system I decided to get a CD/DVD/SDRAM player. Now I can listen to any type of recorded cd/dvd as well as watching videos from CD/DVD/SDRAM/i-POD.

No need for a CD changer as I can copy my Music to the SDRAM card!! I love this setup it cost $300 with installation but is well worth it!!!!

It sounds Ok, do you still have the OEM amplifier left underneath the back seat ?
I have an CD/DVD player laying from another car, but i do not know how it will work with the amplifier if i would change. And also the small red diode that indicates when the alarm is on.
