Hey all,

Probably a stupid question i know but its bugging me and i need to solve it! I have a 96 ZJ LTD, and when i brought it it came with a MOPAR CD changer manual, so i assumed there was a CD changer in the Jeep somewhere. But unless its stupidly well hidden, i dont have one, which is ok, but i couldnt even see where a factory CD changer would be mounted? Where did Jeep install them? In the rear somewhere i presume?

I have the stock cassette player with the 6 CD changer buttons (UK)

 

No one knows this?

 

I've never seen a ZJ with a factory 6-disc cd player. My '97 ZJ has an Infinity CD & cassette player, but my '04 WJ has a CD & cassette player plus a 10-disc CD changer mounted in a compartment in the right rear near the hatch, where the netted storage compartment's located in my ZJ.

 

Its that stereo, i just didnt know if someone had this and the factory CD changer to which this can control (note the 6 bottom buttons to select disc) and where it is located

My owners manual mentions a dealer optional remote CD changer that holds the discs in a magazine but shows no pics.
As I stated In my WJ it's in a rear compartment that has a bush button lid.
Or it might be under the rear seat like the Infinity factory amp in my '97 ZJ.

 

I don't have the same jeep but mine is under one of the back seats. I have to lift up the part you sit on and it's under there on the driver side.
