Caliper help. Jeep on jack
Hubby is trying to replace the suck caliper on my 04. He can't get the bolt off the bracket. Any help?
|
been there, done that. He needs to spray pb blaster, white lithium, brake cleaner etc etc on it and beat it with a rubber mallet. Without some kind of solvent and vibration it won't come out. If that doesn't work heat it CAREFULLY with a torch.

This ^^^
Also when heating with the torch heat around the bolt not on it. Also try a big *** pipe on the wrench. Good luck |
Chrysler put loctite on them.A good breaker bar or an impact will get them off.

Ok got it off, but didn't solve my problem.
Symptoms are wobble at 45-50 mph and slight pull to left. What we have done Just replaced caliper bracket it had a stuck glide, Had alignment and balance, Did brake job, Replace tire rod end. Any ideas it is driving me crazy !!!! |
Stock or lifted?
|
You might have a seperated tire. Swap the front tires from side to side and see if the pull changes sides.
