Default Brake pedal feedback - weird (ZJ)

94 Grand. Sometimes when I lightly apply my brakes, they buzz really loud and the pedal fights back like some crazy feedback thing. I don't have an ABS light and the brakes all work. Is this some early ABS system goofiness?

Sound like the ABS is activating. check the rear brakes for any signs of gear oil leaking on the brakes and causing a wheel to lock up.

The back brakes dont grab though. They all feel really good.

But you really don't know because the ABS is working.

Other thing to look into is the speed sensors and/or reluctor rings on the axles. I seem a few damaged rings cause false ABS activation. Even seen a vehicle with a mis-matched tire size do this. Look at all the obvious things stated above. If nothing looks bad or out of place, you might need a scanner capable of ABS diagnostics to check for codes and maybe monitor your speed sensors.
