blowing fuses
Hi Iam new here, I have a 98 jeep grand cherokee limited 5.2l v-8 4x4. The #6 fuse keeps blowing about 5 sec. after the key is turned on, it kills the vic, overhead panel and blinkers. I have checked all of the wires I can find for these and I cant find any broken or chaffing also checked every bulb on it the only one blown is the overhead and its been out for years and I dont know if this helps but the flashers still work. I would appriciate any and all help its driving me nuts
Go over the wires again cuz you gotta be grounding out on something. They dont just blow 4 no reason. Check the harnesses to c if they have water in them. Especially under the hood. There are wires behind the bumper also.
Thanks for the tip, I will still keep looking cause I need my blinkers I just thought someone might know what all is run off of that fuse thanks for the help though.
I had panels off lights, carpet and every bulb on it and still couldnt find a thing but through some digging I found a similar problem and there it was the park/neutral switch had grounded out and melted the inside of the connector it helped me remember I hate freakin wires. thanks Troy.
