I have 97 jeep grand cherokee, my a/c will work when I first start the car then it cuts out after a few minutes. Read some other forum and they suggested the resistor, well took it down and unplugged the wire harness, turns out it has melted. I am trying to find just the replacement plug but am having no luck..Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find one of these or how to rig it up? It's a 3 wire plug with 3 metal pins. Thanks for your help!

 

Look for a doner at the boneyard, replace the fan and resistor too.

 

Remove the resistor module from under the passengers side dash....remove cover. You will see the charred wires. Cut, clean and reattach. Hardwire it to the module!!! You will need to solder to the pins.
Been there done that.
