I have a 2005 Laredo, V-6, 2WD, and I'm getting 27 to 28 mpg highway, interstate at 65 mph, with or w/o air conditioning on. Here is how:

1) K+N air filter
2) Bosch Iridium Fusion spark plugs (expensive!)
3) 100% Synthetic motor oil, recommended weight. Add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner at every oil change.
4) tire pressure 34 psi (33 psi posted on door)
5) when accelerating, keep RPMs below 2000.

Went on a 700 mi trip, my sister following with her 4 cyl Honda Element, I got better MPG.
