Ask a Grand Cherokee question
If I take the plastic cover off my bumper's (front one is only held on with 2 screws), the actual bumper can be used as a jacking point (hi-lift jack) right? I don't want to bend things up and I dont have the funds for a real bumper yet so I was trying to find a way to use my Hi-Lift because my little hydrolic jack can barely lift the rig high enough to change tires.

If you place the hilift in the frame channel it will work. With that sed I wouldn't crawl under your rig with just the hilift holding it up very unsafe.

LOL! No I wouldn't do that, I've had the Hi-lift tip over before. I was just wondering about changeing tires and getting the rig up on stands that type of thing.
As it stands now I have to use planks and 2x4's to get my jack to lift the rig high enough to where I can change a tire or put stands under it. I gotta save up for some real bumpers.......

Ok just making sure. They make a strap that loops in your wheel then to the hilift. I have never used one but you should check it out. It would save you from removing your bumper.

The metal behind the plastic bumper cover is pretty darn thin, but there are two elongated holes that lead into the "frame" rails up front that may be strong enough.

I wouldn't the only thing inside the plastic is Styrofoam better look see before you decide to try anything the holes at the frame may serve you but the rest of what's in there will cost you your grill radiator & a headache
