I was replacing a stereo in a 95 gc laredo with the infinity gold system and I noticed two wires attached to a connector that were folded back and taped to the rest of the wires coming up to the stereo. One was purple with a black stripe and the other was white with a black stripe. Everything works fine, just curious as to what they were and what they might go to. Here is a picture I took with the stereo out.
If you can take a picture of the back of your radio, I know there is like 10 different radios they put in the zj. Mine went into a white plug right next to the speaker wire plug. Maybe it never used it. Do you have memory seats? And did the VIC's clock always match up with the radio clock?

I don't think it had memory seats, Its got power seats but they don't really work, hahaha. I think the relays are bad for the motors, some move only move one way but not the other, others work just fine. It's ok though because I don't move my seat. And no, They never matched, I'd reset them and they'd be off the next morning. I've only had the Jeep for a couple weeks though so these might be a recent issue. Not very important to me though. Need to swap my t-case before worrying about seats. Mine rattles like crazy and won't go in 4 lo!
