Default another problem im ready to deal with

Ok, so aside from all of the problems I listed in my previous post, I have so air conditioner problems. it seems that it will only blow out through the defroster now no matter what setting its on. also when I click the ac into the hi setting, it just shuts off. Ive been having this problem for a couple weeks now, any suggestions?

sounds like you don't have enough pressure in the system that would be my first guess as it will cause the symptoms you are describing

if you are not very mechanical inclined take it to an ac shop to get done. and the system loses pressure from day to day use it is normal to need to refill every few years about 3 to 5 years is normal

The issue you are having with the AC blowing out the defrosters is a vacuum problem. Most vehicles including Jeeps use a vacuum system to control the vent to defrost dampers. There is an electric accuator that produces "said" amount of air and as you adjust your slider or ****, air is either released or increased. These tubes can get tiny leaks in them that can be very hard to find. Replacing all the tubing isnt very expensive either. Lastly what made me have to learn all this was after a wreck the air canister inside the passenger side of the front bumper was busted open. Sealed it up and I had full control again. Make sure to check the tubing that runs to this canister under the hood.
