Default another 95 GC 4.0 cutting off

I know this has been asked a million times. But my wife's 95 4.0 has starting acting up. It started what I would call skipping and and then smooth back out and then later skipping and shut off would crank back up and then go a little longer and do it again but would not crank up would turn over but not crank
when it done this it was raining both times. check engine light is not on but it does flash codes 11 12 and now today it is 11 12 54 codes change day today. any idea before I start throwing money at it could it be the pcm

thanks in advance

You need to check for spark and fuel. If you don't have any spark check for power at the primary plug on the ignition coil. If you have voltage on the poss. wire, then check for a pulsing ground on the neg. wire. You can check that with a 12 volt test light. Put the clip on the poss. battery terminal and probe the neg primary coil wire, then try to start the engine while watching the test light, it should flash. If it stays on or does not flash it means you have either a crank sensor or cam sensor that is bad. I replace them in pairs just for peace of mind.
