Alternator I think?
My 94 ZJ keeps sucking the charge out of the battery. I've had to jump start it a few times now, but this morning again it was dead when I tried to jump it it starts fine runs for about 10 seconds and dies. My neighbor thinks it might be a bad alternator, I would appreciate any suggestions or feedback, thanks.
I also just now noticed that the electrical went "haywire" everything started blinking when I hooked up the cables to the battery. I mean everything the headlights and every interior light you can think of.

Alt. have 2 posts. One large going to battery and second trough ignition system. The smaller one like to corrode and loose contact. Check the small connection. Does gauge show charging?. You my have short somewhere and it is draining battery. Take the positive out and reconnect. Observe any sparks coming. If it is large spark then you have short. Make sure that AC clutch it is disconnected. Sometime AC clutch stuck and drain battery. You will have to take the belt off and see if compressor pully spin freely.
It turned out to be a "feature" of the security system that doesn't allow the engine to start. Since I don't have the transmitter you have to turn the key a couple of times when unlocking the door in order to disable it.
