I have now sorted my first problem of not being able to get into the jeep (see my other post) and appreciate all the helpful advice i was given.
Now i have another headache.
I have charged the battery but now when i reconnect it the alarm sounds continuously and i can't find any way of getting it to stop.
Is there some procedure that i am missing here that will reset the alarm?
I have tried using the key fob and also the key in the door but neither of these work. I found a couple of posts on other forums regarding the previous model Grand Cherokee to mine saying that there is a valet switch and you have to use this with the key in the ignition to reset the alarm.
If anyone knows what i need to do then please let me know because this is starting to do my head in!
