My AC works in my 1996 Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo, but it only comes out of the defrosters even when it is set on a different setting such as feet, and dash, I am looking on advice on what to do.

 

You have a vacuum problem. There is a small vac hose at the firewall near the A/C lines, it connects to a larger vac line that runs along the top of the right inner fender, that line runs to a vacuum reservoir under the battery tray. Look at all of those and make sure there are no leaks. The cruise control also taps into that large vac line.
