98 ZJ Running Hot
My ZJ (5.2 liter) over the last couple years has been running hot. During the winter months the Jeep runs at 195, but during the summer months it runs between 210 and 225. I have reviewed forums on this website and replaced the T-stat, water pump, hoses, coolant, and radiator. I know some of you believe running this hot is normal and OK, but I disagree. The Jeep does not run as well above 210. My question is has any of you installed a Flowkooler water pump and seen a reduction in operating temp? Thanks.

Have you replaced the radiator cap? It's kind of an overlooked part of the cooling system. If it's bleeding pressure off the engine will run hotter.

I believe the cap was changed when I installed a new radiator, but I will change it again. In regard to the electric fan, that is an option that I will consider. Thank you.
