Default '98 GC Long Arm Kit

I have a few questions about lifting my new to me 1998 grand Cherokee. I'm not new to the off-road scene but this is my first Jeep and my first lift so obviously I lack experience, that's why I am asking you guys for some insight and opinions.

I am looking at getting Rough Country's Long Arm kit,

http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-zj-...m-upgrade.html

But I don't want to go with their 4" lift kit, I would prefer 4.5" so I am wondering what outside of the long arm kit and 4.5" springs and shocks would I need? Besides the T-Case drop (look below), any suggestions on springs and shocks would be appreciated too.

At the same time I plan on getting this SYE kit instead of a T-Case drop to kill any vibes before they get started.

This will all be running on 31's or 32's because I want to keep my center of gravity low and I don't want to mess with gearing or axles until I pick up a pair of D44's.

Any help or input is appreciated, it's not urgent as I am still one quick pay day away, but I figured I would get my research out of the way.

I'd really like some input on this as well. Not to hi-jack the thread but I am in the same boat. I want to do a long arm kit but there is really a huge difference in price between the rough country and the clayton or rusty's off road kit.

Unlike the OP though I want to run 35s I am doing an 8.8 swap in the rear a super 30 kit on my front and gears.

I'm really leaning towards the iron rock 5.5" (I'll keep my 2" spacers) with the DT 8000 shock option.

Long arm users throw us a bone here . . .

You cut and pasted your exact question from Jeepforum onto here? What didn't they answer there, that you needed answering here. Just to recap-

You don't need 4.5" to fit 31's or 32's.

Especially not 4.5" to fit 31's since you're "keeping the COG low"...

SYE not needed. I'm at 5.5" and driveline vibes. Many ZJ guys run over 7" in my group and don't need them.

I'm sitting around 7 and I don't have an sye, if your only wanting yo run 31 or 32 and don't wanna regear or swap axles then why do you want to go to long arms strait off? You can easily run those tires with 2-3.5" on short arms and keep your COG low
