Default 97 zj front door locks don't lock?

Whenever I hit the locks from either the passenger or drivers side the locks on the front doors don't work. Both rear doors and the hatch work no problem but nothing from the front. Is there a fuse or something I've overlooked?? Thanks!

One fuse for all four doors. Do you hear the solenoids in the front doors?

Yeah I hear them. I can watch the lock lever thing try to move but it never fully moves.

I don't know if this works for the zj but it sounds like a similar issue. I did this on my 90 xj and all door locks slam open and shut compared to before when only the passenger door would open and if I was lucky the driver door.

You may have weak solenoids or the linkage is sticky. Make sure you're getting as full 12 volts to the solenoids, a voltage drop of even a volt will cause them to act strange.
