Default 97 Grand will not start.

I am picking up a 97 Grand on Monday with the 4.0. The owner had a 02 sensor short out a couple of times on the drive shaft. They replaced the fuse a couple of times and have now replaced the sensor. It will not start. Can you give me any ideas on where to start looking for problems? I got it for a good price so to me it is worth looking into. Thanks for any help.
BTW I have learned a ton here while looking for a Jeep to buy.

Could be a bad Crank Position Sensor. I'd check for any stored trouble codes. You can do this yourself.
This tells how:>http://www.wjjeeps.com/faultcodes.htm#ERASE
Here's the list of the codes:>

What are the symptoms? Will it even crank? Or does it just click?

Start at the begining. Does it have spark? I had a coil give me fits. It was sparking. but I had to have my brother look at it with a different perspective and he saw a WEAK spark. New coil problem over.

check all ignition related fuses/fuable links, the shorting and repeated popping of one fuse may have caused another to let go on a related circuit. If all fuses are good maybe try and listen to make sure fuel pump is priming when key is in on position. If thats working test to see if you have spark.
