Default 96 ZJ wont crank!

I have noticed that the starter was starting to drag (slow crank) when it was hot outside. After putting it off for a mth. I drove the jeep one really hot day, parked it went out later that evening nothing, zero, not even a f*@! you out of her when i tried to fire her up. So I took the battery to have it tested it was good. I replaced the starter today, turns out it was the OE starter! anyway this is where I'm confused. She still won't start, I have lights, radio, windows (up/down), doors lock everything electrical works won't crank at all. now i've read that the crankshaft sensor might be to blame? I haven't checked the cap and rotor yet, what about the ASD? could that cuz this? any help fellas, i gotta get back to mudville and i'm seriously walk to work, no ****!

If by won't crank at all you mean the starter is not spinning the engine or even clicking when the ignition is in the start position then then the issue is in the starting circuit somewhere. The crankshaft sensor (and most others) will not keep the starter from spinning the engine Same for the ASD and Fuel pump relay, the engine won't fire without them but the starter will still spin the engine.

Have you checked :
Fuses and relays in the Power Distribution Center under the hood?
Transmission safety switch?
The ignition switch itself

Have you tried bumping the starter with a remote switch or piece of wire to see if it will spin the engine that way?

Just because it clicks dosent mean its getting all the power it needs. check all your wires running to the starter for corrosion or being loose.
