96 zj rear end swap
Stock dana 35 w/ 3.55 gear 4wd @ 251k miles. heavily worn, needs replaced. have a junkyard close. need to know what years have the same assembly for an easy swap and which vin digit to match to find the correct gear ratio.

93-98 ZJ D35 rear axles will bolt right in. The 93 and 94.5 model years will be drum brakes on everything but the limited trim levels. There should be a tag on the diff cover that will have the ratio on it.
