So my daughter just bought a 96 GC 5.2 limited. It shifted funny on the test drive,but its been sitting for a couple of years. So the fluid was low. Added more fliud drove it around and it up shifts like its missing the shift. If you put your foot in the gas it will shift. Any ideas why this is doing it. It has 195000 miles.

 

Use the search function and look for " throttle valve cable adjustment ". You will find the instructions there.

 

Thanks. I adjusted it plus replaced the TPS. It seems fine when its warmed up now. I need to drive it when its cold.
