Default 95 ZJ speaker covers

Hello. I hope everyone is doing well. Quick question. I am going to upgrade the the speakers in the '95 Grand Cherokee I just bought but before I go trying to pry up something that isn't made to be removed... Do these speaker covers come off or do I need to remove the whole door panel to access the speakers?

You must not be prying hard enough...

The entire panel comes off as a complete unit, as-shown in this topic.

Hi. Thanks I'll look that over since it seems to be the same set up I have and I need to get rid of the factory radio etc which really isn't working. I knew I could pry off the entire panel unit but it almost seemed just the part covering the speakers came off which would have sped things up.

You are welcome.

Yes, the speaker grille is a separate part, but it is heat-staked to the large panel. An examination of the rear of the large panel shows the heat stake rivets around the edge of the speaker grille part.
