Default 95 ZJ Security Issues?

I just got another ZJ and it has the factory security system (with no key fob) with key only? I have now found out that the sensor in the drivers door is bad.

Does anyone know how to disable the alarm completely?

Thanks,
RON

i found this ehow: http://www.ehow.com/how_6590302_disa...-cherokee.html

it explains how to disable it, but im not entirely sure that it cuts it out all together.

you can try it and tell me if it works?? haha

Default That should work

Each door lock; driver's, passengers and rear lift gate have a switch connected on the back side of them, not a sensor. A wire goes from the PCM Connector C3 pin 10 to Splice S305 and then splits to all three lock switches. From each switch the path goes to ground. When you insert the key in the lock and turn it to the unlock position it closes the switch and provides a straight shot to ground. This provides a ground to C3 Pin 10 of the PCM and is the Theft system disarm signal. So in theory the Violet/Yellow wire under the kick panel should be the one going to the driver's door lock switch.
Using the door lock switch inside will set the alarm system on(passive arming). My wife found this out the hard way last week. I learned a lot about the alarm from this. I also learned that the alarm cannot be disabled except by what is described above. The alarm is part of the PCM programming and the only way to defeat it is to replace the PCM and BCM. I hope this works for you.
I'll have to do this myself as my driver's door switch recently failed too. Though I may mount on or near the kick panel a remote push button switch or toggle switch to provide the ground and thus leave the alarm operable but easy enough to turn off in a pinch.
