Default 95 jeep grand cherokee cranks but will not start?

My son was driving it and it just died on him. It has started a few time while in the process of changing out the Fuel filter, wires, plugs, crank sensor, distributor cap and rotor...... but for the most part just cranks over.

Start w/ verification of the fuel pressure as-measured on the fuel rail.

Tap the ECM. Soldering inside breaks over time. If this helps, either take it apart and solder the connections, or replace.

I ended up buying a new ECM/PCM and it ran fine for about a week, Fuel pressure reads right at 40, so that's good. but while driving now it just shuts down like it the fuel is being cut off. I wait a second or two and it starts right up?

New, as in from dealer, or new to you, as from a salvage yard/someone else?

Taking apart and fixing is easy. 30 mins. YouTube for video. Had same issues and this fixed it. Also, try zip-tying the connectors to the ECM.

So, it turns out that the new ECM/PCM I bought was broke during shipping or so I was told. It has different ECM/PCM in it now and runs great. No issues going on two weeks now. Thanks for all the advice and help.
