i recently bought a 95 GC and the trany went out i got a guy a a junk yard so i bought a tranny and transfer case from a 94 but i'm having an issue with the flexplate and the torque converter lining up i can get all the bolts in but one from the flexpate to the torgue conveter please help. is it poss. that the year difference is the problem or do i need to just buy the flexplate for the 94 model instead of the one i'm using. any help would be greatly appreciated

there is only one way that flex plate will bolt to the TC. once you can get 2 lined up then all should go.
thats what i thought but i can only get 3 of the 4 bolts in one just doesn't line up. i've moved the flexplate in every way possible. does the year difference have to do with it . my flexplate is a 96 model and the torque converter is a 94. i don't know this is my first jeep.iknow this is an easy fix but, it is giving me alot of trouble.would it hurt to drill a small hole in the flexplate just enough so that i can mount it

check for an additional set of holes in the flexplate. It may be that it was intended for another application as well from the factory. I don't know if the 42RH torque converter is different from a 46RH due to the 6 and 8 cylinder difference.

You did not state the engine you have. I was assuming it was the 5.2. I am pretty sure any of the V8s use the same flex plate. Are you leaving all the bolts slightly loose so you can move the tc a bit to get the last bolt in. they have to be perfect. I sounds still like you have to maybe spin the tc a bit more. Man its been a while since doing one,
Don't drill it to fit. there is a reason that they make if fit only one way. What engine do you have? Was the tranny from a jeep with the same engine? These are a few things you need to post.
