Hi all. My 94ZJ climate control (with the automatic temperature) is acting weird. It turns on by itself while it is in the off position when I start the car. I can still control the temp and flow speed, but it just won’t turn off. Besides resetting the PCM/ECU, not sure what else I can do other than disconnect the climate control module. Has anyone ever encountered this issue and found a solution? Thanks

UPDATE: haven’t managed to figure out what is wrong yet, but now the hvac won’t turn on at all. The fan does start when I turn the car on. I have discovered while tinkering with it, if I unplug the climate control unit and plug it back in while the car is running, it will turn on. I can even control the speed setting (though it takes a while to adjust) and the temperature (so no more ac randomly turning on in mid winter or heater in summer). As for direction, I can kind of control it though it often gives me the error message. I am thinking maybe it’s a bad capacitor or chip on the board? I’ve opened it up and I see no visible signs of damage. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Any advice would be much appreciated.
