I have no idea what happened to the ol jeep. it is a 1994 jgc 5.2 full time 4 wheel drive. Other day it would not start. shot a bit of ether in the ol carb she fired right up. Got it to the house dropped the tank and replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter. The one I received from the parts store was good to get me to the pumps and died. As it died the alternator got smokin hot. Replaced the alternator got it towed to the house. Dropped the tank again put a new fuel pump. Went to fire an no go, just cranks but no start. Pulled the ecu and ordered another one. Put it in today and now it just cranks as before but the check engine like is glowin like satans eyes. I am stumped and confused here. Relays are good. As far as I knew it was ecu, relay, fuel pressure switch, filter then pump. Going to check voltage at the connection for the pump tomorrow (ran out of light and patience for tonight). Any thoughts would be appreciated. The only thing I can think of to do after I check the voltage to the pump is to take it to the dealer. Hate that idea due to the lack of will to give money for overpriced parts. Any advice would be appreciated.

you just haven't thrown enough money at it!diagnose it!,spark?, fuel? have you seen your neighbors cat?it didn't nest in,in the air intake?

 

lol it is going to the dealers this next week to flash the computer.
Air intake is clean after market cold air, removed carb cleaned and put back. thanks for the response.
