Default 94 jgc engine cuts in and out

ok let me see if I can explain this. This all started about a month ago and only on the highway at speeds over 60 mph. Ever so often it felt like the engine would stumble or lose power for a split second. This would happen may 5 or 6 times in a 1-2 minute period them be fine. Now it is happening at lower speeds and sometimes when I take off from a stop. You can see the tach drop a few hundred rpms when this happens. there is no check engine light and I'm not sure if it's fuel or spark related. Once it clears up its fine for the rest of the trip. Some times it will go several cycles or trips before it does it again & sometimes it will happen 4 times in 1 day. Sometimes after driving for a while and sometimes within the first 5 minutes. Just seeing if this sounds familiar with anyone.

I had an issue kind of like yours, it turned out to be my crank sensor.

It would shut down for a split second after hitting a bump or expansion joint on the highway. The gear selector cable was resting on the crank sensor and causing the issue. I replaced the sensor and rerouted the cable.

You were correct! What a pain in the butt that was to remove. It almost cleared the tunnel but I had to remove the transfercase mount bolt and lower the Tcase low enough to let the sensor clear for removal.
