My guess would be the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve on the throttle body for your 5.2L.

Dan thanks so much for your help sir,I pulled it again and the plunger on the end was all the way out so i adjusted it once again and screwd it in ,then started it up and it run perfect, drove it for about 2 miles to get some gas and it started idling back down to about 100 RPMS.I Beleave it is a faulty IAC ,am i wrong for thinking this way?the IAC was just replace a few months ago. Thanks so much once again all the help really is apreciated.
Thanks David

I can't say for sure as I'm in Mich. visiting and am away from my source of info. All I have is my brothers Haynes manual (which doesn't tell me anything about the IAC), and his lap-top. Sorry David I can't be of more help.
I'm sure more people will chime in with some helpful info.

OK guys bringing it back to the top because we drove it for one day and the same thing is happening, idles low,and when you first start it you have to have the gas pedal pushed before it will start.Maybe the computer going bad sending a bad signal?I did notice however that it has a good leak at the manifold ,could this be causing this problem?Any ideas what to do next?
Thanks David

did you clean where the plunger of the aic seats if it`s still carbon up you`ll have the sam problem, also check for vaccum leaks.
