Can you swap a full time transfer case out of a zj with a v-8 ? And put in a transfercase with selectable 4x4

Mine is swapped and worth it. Went from a 242 to a 231. Swapped cv front driveshaft for one with u-joints from a TJ. Swap is easy, just need a 23 spline count transfer case from a 93 or newer high output Cherokee or another Grand. And get a new linkage for it, grab the shift lever plate too.

Hmm, it wasn't too much. $200 for the case, a rebuild (don't remember how much that was), shortened and balanced TJ front drive shaft and a new linkage. New u-joints on the drive shaft. I remember it was under $1k and around $700, cause of the rebuild.

I honestly haven't even read what all is in this link but it is a sticky in the ZJ section of JF so it must help a little.
