Default 8 X 15's or 16's

I want to put 285 X 75's on my 98 Grand Cherokee with a 4" RC lift. The stock 16 X 7 won't do it without spacers. I saw that JC Whitney has steel wheels (soft 8's and spoke) for about $50 each. According to the tire size calculator, both sidewalls are 8.4" you just get a little more height out of a 16" versus a 15". Just wondering how many others changed their stock 16's to 15's and if there is any advantage or disadvantage between the two. Also, I want to get 4" backspacing...anyone think I should get a little more or a little less and is there a stock jeep rim already with 4" of backspacing? Thanks.

I went from stock 15s to Crager 16s and wish I would have stuck with 15s. Tires for 16s are generally more expensive. Go with 15s.
