5.2 v8 onlu leaks oil when warmed up and running?
hey first off i would like to introduce myself my name is Jeff i am 18 years of age and im no mechanic. a wrencher at best but if you guide me through it i can pretty much fix anything...
any way like the title says it only leaks when its running and warmed up. ive read several places about trying to find information before getting the bright idea to find a forum for jeeps like i have for my duramax on dieselplace DURRR
i read that the intake gaskets leak sometimes
i also i have suspicion the oil pressure sensor has something to do with it because my gauge tweaks out...
i know its not the rear main becuase if i clean it up and wipe it down i can watch it come from up there and drip down. i think it even drips down the exhaust just wanted to know what is your imput on this?

Hey Jeff, Welcome to CF from Dan in Tenn.
Yeah the oil sending unit is on the top-rear of the block, to the right of the distributor. With the special socket, swivel, and extensions, you might be able to get it from the top. How are the VC gaskets?

Just to show you where it's at, here's a view showing the sending unit with the intake removed. Can't see it with intake on, it's tight in there. I know, I've got one.

I'm not sure, but mine's got 180,000 miles and the intakes never been off of it, and doesn't leak. I'd try the sending unit first as it's easier.
