I sometimes look on craigslist just to see what is out there and up pops this high mileage cherokee. At first I thought it was a misprint but in one of the photos you can see the odometer. I rarely see diesels with more than 300K but never a gas motor. At some point it could have been rebuilt but those many miles and still on the road is a good testament to the longevity of these vehicles.
