Ok well I put in a new rebuilt 42re and all went well till I went to back out and drive if I just go to reverse I only have an 1/8th of an inch of pedal to use same with drive now if I go down to 2 on the selector then back to reverse I have a full pedal for reverse or drive. I have looked at the cable and tried all adjustments I cant seem to find a reason for this. I cant get the trans to shift correctly for the life of me it will shift at redline but thats about it unless I put it in neutral then back in drive.

Try adjusting TV or kickdown cable. Closest to the front of the vehicle.
