I have 4.7 grand cheroke 2005
I want to buy new or used engine however , when I contact the sellers they ask if the engine with egr valve or without ,
does this means there is some grand cheroke engines come without egr valve ? And can I buy engine without egr valve
I mean it is going to work same as the old one or no ?
What do you advice and consider that there is no way to know if the old engine is with egr vale or without
And where can I find online seller for used engines

 

If yours has an egr you need to keep the egr because of federal emissions laws.

 

So it just law it is not going to cause any problem on the car or the engine if I bought one without egr ?
Im not in the US

 

It will cause the check engine light to come on.

Jasper's Engines will set you back about 3000 for a reman engine with an install kit. Used? I don't know. I wouldn't trust a used 4.7, they're not a great engine and aren't very reliable.
