Default 318 magnum "tune up"

well I've had my ZJ for 2 months now and I think the engine could use some tlc, needs rear main, so new oil and filter with that, probably plugs and wires, 8.5mm of I can find them decently priced, really want to put an air filter on it like the older v8s that just sits on top... Am I missing anything?

If I remember correctly the oil sending unit is on top in very back of engine check to see if its not leaking giving a appearance of rear main issue.

The intake manifold end seals will leak an make it look like a rear main leak. Another thing to be aware of with a high mileage 318/360 is the plenum plate gasket. It will start sucking oil and cause some drivability issues.
