well i have a 98 grand cherokee with the 249 t-case in it and of course the viscous coupler is bad and i found a few 242 t-cases for sale one from a 91 and one from a 96. i know i have to watch spline count. but which one is my best bet? i also know that i may have to change the input gear as well. but i remember reading some where about the gears not meshing in the earlier models... couldnt find where i read it though.
