Default 2021 Grand Cherokee headlamp assembly replacement

Was looking for some information on replacing the passenger side head lamp entire assembly on my granddaughter’s 2021 Grand Cherokee Laredo. Some bone head put his truck rear bumper through hers at the grocery store. The quotes she got for replacing was crazy. Any info would be helpful

Apart from the bezel and the lamp itself, I'd expect the rest to be salvageable. If the impact was enough to, say, damage the bucket, I'd expect some body damage - which you don't mention..

No real body damage other than scratches. The reflector around the main bulb was damaged although. Thought it would be easier to replace the whole assembly rather than just pieces. I don’t do a lot of work on vehicles but trying to help the young lady out.

I’ll let her know that she needs to get dirty before going shopping again!

Thanks for the reply. I’ll look harder at it again and see what else we can do or what else may be damaged

A known-good used assembly will run you between $400 and $800. So I can appreciate that the repair price seemed astronomical, especially if the mechanic is specifying a new assembly.
If you think of the headlamp as a block in a modular assembly, I'll bet you can visualize how to remove and replace it. If you had the part, some space, tools and a couple hours you could do the replacement yourself. You would need to peel away a couple-few other things, and return them to as-found.
I use LKQ On-Line for stuff like this. They're a good source when your up against it. I've worked with them over various things through the years and have no complaints. Have a look-see here - https://www.lkqonline.com/2021-jeep-...dlamp-assembly
