I just bought a 2015 Grand Cherokee Limited that I would like to add a trailer hitch. I have done hitch installs many times in the past, but I am reading all over that I can install the hitch and trailer lights, but will still need to make an appointment at a dealership to activate the trailer light circuit. Is this true on the Limited's as well? It didn't come with a hitch so is it safe to assume that it doesn't have the trailer tow package? I am hoping not to have to make a trip to the dealership and pay $60 plus for a 10 minute job.
I only plan on towing a small landscaping trailer.

Why not consider a hidden Execuhitch?
This was installed by me on my BMW X3 and it is the best hitch I've owned! There is NO noisy clatter when pulling an empty trailer.
They included free remote vehicle programming via my home laptop from an expert in NJ.
