Hi
About 2 months ago I purchased a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo which now has almost 4K miles on it. For the past several weeks I have been hearing an intermittent pulsing hum. It is low and subtle but distinct from the engine and road sounds. It comes and goes on my 1 hour ride to work on various parts of the highway. When I hear it, I can feel it under the gas pedal. It is hard to pin point but passengers believe it comes from the front end. The road is flat uncracked asphalt and it doesn't matter if its wet or day outside. The noise last only for about 15-30 seconds and so its difficult to diagnose. Is this normal? I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to diagnose this or provide something to help technicians to at least hear the problem.
Thanks

Take it to the dealer for warranty repairs and a possible TSB adressing your concern.

Thanks for the replies and TSB info.
I've been to the dealer and they are unable to duplicate the sound I'm hearing.
I'll have to review the TSB again but at quick glance I don't see anything aside from the transmission that might be related but I have the 3.6L. I'm not a mechanic but it does sound like a drone ... better term than hum.
Am I missing something?
